On our Sports Hall Page you will be able to find out information about the sports clubs that we are providing at Haydn, as well as the competitions and extra-curricular activities we take part in.

Year 5 Sports Hall Athletics Heats - 9th October

A team of Year 5 pupils represented Haydn at an indoor sports hall athletic competition held at Harvey Hadden Sports Village.  The children participated in a range of athletic events including sprinting, hurdles, long jump,  high jump and javelin.  They successfully qualified from their heat into a final.  Huge congratulations to all the children who took part. We are super proud of you!  

 

Year 5 Relay Challenge - 23rd September

A team of girls and boys, from Year 5 represented Haydn at the school games Relay Challenge at Harvey Haddon.  Both teams had 30 minutes to complete as many 400m laps as they could.  Every single team member was OUTSTANDING!!!  Everyone tried exceptionally hard and ran their socks off.  Whilst they didn't quite manage to break our school records (the girls' school record stands at 16 laps and the boys' record stands at 17 laps from 2023) the girls managed a fantastic 13 laps, and the boys a brilliant 15 laps.

For the 4th Year in a row, Haydn was awarded the Gold standard of the School Games Mark for last academic year.  As we start the new school year, we once again intend to aim high and celebrate all sports achievements, no matter how big and small, and continue our commitment to participation in sport.
