NEWSLETTER 28TH November 2024
BAGS OF BLESSINGS CHRISTMAS APPEAL
Bags of Blessings are asking for donations of the following items for their Christmas appeal; a small gift, a toy, sweets, a book, craft supplies etc. Donations will be placed into gift bags for underprivileged children (aged 0-16) and distributed via food banks and other organisations around Nottingham. Donations can be dropped off at the school office. The deadline for your donations is Friday 13th December. Thank you for your support.
PTA CHRISTMAS FAIR - FRIDAY 6TH DECEMBER 3:30PM - 5:30PM
It's only one week until our annual Christmas Fair! There will be festive fun for all the family; stalls selling gifts, treats and games! We have some incredible prizes for the raffle and will be bringing back the Ms Paulson cake competition! This year's theme will be cupcakes and biscuits. Bring in your festive bakes on Friday 6th with your child's name, class and list of ingredients labelled clearly. (Please don’t forget that Haydn is a nut free school). Ms Paulson will be judging these creations and prizes will be given at the fair.
We are still accepting generous donations: tombola gifts, wine and empty screw cap wine bottles.
Anything donated will be greatly appreciated! We're looking forward to seeing you all there!
CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAYS 2024 – SAVE THE CHILDREN
In celebration of their Christmas dinner at school, on Wednesday 11th December, children in FS, FW, Years 1 and 2 are invited to wear a Christmas jumper to school (they will need to wear normal uniform bottoms and footwear).
On Thursday 12th December, children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 are invitied to wear a Christmas jumper to school in celebration of their Christmas dinner. We will be supporting the charity ‘Save the Children’ and are asking for a £1 donation for children to come to school in their Christmas jumper on their respective days.
We ask that children don’t bring cash as we are not handling money. Please click on ‘School Shop’ to make a payment. Donations can be made from Monday 10th December until Friday 13th December.
PUNCTUALITY AND ATTENDANCE
A reminder to please ensure your child arrives punctually to begin school at 8.45am each day. School finishes at 3.15pm. Teachers begin planning meetings at 3.15pm so please do your best to collect on time. If you are running late, please ring the school office to let them know.
At Haydn we are committed to ensuring that all children have excellent school attendance. Our school target this year is 97%. We understand that children need to be off school when they are ill but other than that, they need to be in school. Holidays should not be taken in term time and we will contact you if your child’s attendance falls below 90%.
