NEWSLETTER 11TH JULY 2025S LAUNCHED!
PTA SUMMER FAIR
The PTA would like to say a huge thank you for your support at the summer fair. We are delighted to let you know that we took £670.00!! A big thank you to all the very kind PTA members, school staff and parent volunteers who helped to set up, run the stalls and clear away afterwards; we couldn't have done it without you!
A MESSAGE FROM MR GRIMSHAW
Hello all, I am running the London Marathon next year for Jerry Green Dog Rescue. To help raise funds for this, Ms Paulson has kindly agreed to host a non-school uniform day on the last Wednesday of term (23rd July). The theme is going to be 'G'; come dressed in anything that starts with the letter G. This could be a Granny, something Gold, Geri Halliwell or anything your imagination comes up with. I would like to ask for a minimum donation of £1 per child that will all go towards the incredible work of Jerry Green Dog Rescue and help spur me on for a very long run next year. Please send your child in with cash on the morning of the 23rd and we will collect this in the office. Thank you so much for your continued support and for being such a lovely school! – Mr Grimshaw.
SCHOOL MEAL MENU – WEDNESDAY 16TH JULY
Next Wednesday, we will be trialling a third choice for school meals. On offer, there will be a cheese and tomato panini option, as well as the usual roast dinner (meat and vegetarian). Your child just needs to ask for the panini option in the dining hall at lunchtime. Thank you.
MISSING VISITORS LANYARDS
Help! We have a lot of missing visitors lanyards (red – given out by the school office). If you have helped out on a school trip or an activity recently, please can you check to see if you have a lanyard at home and return to the school office. Thank you.
MOBILE PHONES IN SCHOOL
A quick reminder about mobile phones in school. We do not permit children to bring phones into school. We understand that if your child walks to and from school alone, you may want a way of contacting them. If you feel it necessary, then we will allow your child to bring a phone but it must not have access to the internet or have a camera. This will allow your child to be contacted whilst safeguarding them and others against issues with online safety and damage to expensive property. If your child does bring a phone to school, it needs to be handed to the class teacher where it will be securely locked away until the end of the day.
SPORTS DAY RACES FOR F2 (NEXT WEEK)
Next Thursday 17th July, F2 will be holding their traditional Sports Day races at 9.15am and families are invited to watch. Children in F2 can come to school in their sports clothes and trainers. Please enter and exit from the visitors gate.
