Haydn Primary School’s approach to supporting children with SEND
We are committed to providing, for each pupil, the best possible provision and environment for learning. We aim to provide Special Educational provision within an adapted curriculum that meets the needs of all children. We believe that all children, including those identified as having special educational needs have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum which is accessible, and to be fully included in all aspects of school life.
We believe that all children should be equally valued in school. We strive to eliminate prejudice and discrimination, and to develop an environment where all children can flourish, feel safe and achieve.
Our SEND and Inclusion Lead is Mrs Amanda Evans
Our SEND Governor is Andrea Snelling

Haydn SEND Coffee Afternoons for parents
SEND COFFEE AFTERNOONS AT HAYDN
I am very pleased to be able to invite you a selection of SEND Coffee Afternoons. These will be an opportunity for parents of children who are supported for their educational needs attending our school to meet one another, share experiences and ask questions.
There will be hot/cold drinks, cakes and biscuits; as well as the chance to get together in a relaxed and friendly setting, where you can have a chat about how your child is supported and maybe make some new friends along the way.
I have invited some key professionals to join each coffee morning as guest speakers to allow you find out more about their service, ask questions and collect some hints and tips which may help. Here is the date of the next coffee afternoon and who will be attending. There will be further dates and professionals later in the year.
- Tuesday 11th February 2025 - next meeting to be attended by Learning Support Link Teacher Rhea Haynes
If you think that you would like to join us, please could you send an email to me at senco@haydn.nottingham.sch.uk so I know how many to expect and how many cakes to buy!
Thank you for your support, I hope to see as many of you as possible.
