NEWSLETTER 10TH MAY 2024
NEW SCHOOL GATE INSTALLATION Potentially, the new gate installation will continue on Monday 13th May 2024. As soon as the works have been completed we will let you know. Once the gate is in full operation, it will be come the only entry and exit point during the school day. YEAR 6 SATs Year 6 SATs tests start next Monday 13th May. It is important that all children taking part in these are at school every day, by 8.30am at the latest. Please see that your child gets plenty of sleep and exercise and healthy food over the next week. Please also reinforce the message that they are all fabulous and will do really well. They can only do their best, and mustn't worry about the tests! Here are a few examples. Warning: these books will make you laugh, snort, giggle, titter, chuckle and chortle. Good luck next week Year 6, we are very proud of you.
SPACE DAY MENU- THURSDAY 16TH MAY
Next Thursday 16th May, we will be having a ‘Space Day’ themed lunch. If your child usually has a packed lunch on Thursdays, why not get them to try a delicious hot school meal instead! On the menu there will be Space Rocket Hot Dog/Veggie Hot Dog served with Corn on the Cob or Baked Beans or Meteor Veggie Balls & Pasta served with Corn on the Cob or Salad. For pudding there will be a choice of Moon Rock Cake or Planet Crispy Cake. The cost is FREE to KS1/Infants (F2, Yr1 & Yr2) and £2.50 for KS2/Juniors (Yr3, Yr4, Yr5, Yr6). SCHOOL DINNER PRICE LIST – SUMMER TERM 2024 – YEARS 3,4,5 & 6 The cost for a school meal remains at £2.50 per day or £12.50 for a full week. 1st half term 15th April to 24th May will be £72.50 2nd half term 3rd June to 25th July will be £97.50 Whole term 15th April to 25th July will be £170.00 You can pay for school meals via the Arbor app/portal. Alternatively, you can pay by cheque, please make cheques payable to ‘Haydn Primary School’. Please note that we are not accepting cash payments.

Thank you to all of the parents and carers who are using the Arbor portal. We currently have 77% parental usage. Our aim is for 100% usage! If you haven’t signed up yet, please click login.arbor.sc, click on ‘Forgotten Password?’ and following the instructions on screen (your username is the email address we sent the initial email to). PTA SUMMER FAIR – FRIDAY 14TH JUNE
The PTA summer Fair is nearly upon us and we're all keeping our fingers crossed for a lovely sunny day! There will be a wide range of stalls and activities being hosted and all to raise money for the PTA. We are on the hunt for bottles of wine and raffle prizes, if you are able to donate please drop into the school office in a bag marked PTA. We will be running a cake competition with prizes for the winners. Stalls are available to buy if you would like to sell at the fair. Stalls cost £30 each but only £15 if you have a child at Haydn. If you'd like to book a stall or get in touch about helping or donating, please email haydnprimarypta@gmail.com.
