School Admissions
Would you like your child to attend Haydn Primary School?
Haydn Primary and Nursery School is a City Of Nottingham Local Authority maintained school. All admissions, other than Nursery, are organised and managed by the Nottingham City Schools Admission Team (see link below). The window for applications for first admission into our Reception classes is between November and January in the academic year prior to your child starting school. The published admission number for the intake year is: 60 pupils. Any change of school applications during subsequent years, or applications from families new to the area, are also managed by the City Admissions Department.
We welcome visits at any time from prospective parents who wish to find out more about the school before applying; please contact the School Office or Head Teacher to arrange this.
The admissions criteria is in line with Nottingham City Council's policy.
The following website includes detailed information on the admissions process and links to online applications. The Admissions Department can be contacted by emailing schooladmissions@nottinghamcity.gov.uk or tel: 0115 841 5568.

Haydn Nursery Admissions
If you wish to apply for a place for your child to join us, Nursery admissions are dealt with directly by us through our School Office.
We have 39 places for both our morning (8.45-11.45am) and afternoon (12.15 -3.15pm) sessions. If places are available, children can start in the September after their third birthday and they are entitled to 15 hours of free Nursery education. Children attend either 5 mornings or 5 afternoons a week to ensure continuity and help prepare them for regular school attendance. Parents can express a preference for either the morning or afternoon session; we will try to accommodate this, but we cannot guarantee that your preference will be granted as we have to ensure that we have the correct staff ratio to children.
We are also able to offer 30 hours government funded places to eligible families. The 30 hours are spread over 5 days a week and are in line with the school day (8.45am–3.15pm).
Please note that we require your code by the following dates:
Places are allocated against the following criteria in the order below:
To apply for a place, application forms are available from the School Office.
Please be aware that attendance of our Nursery is not a criteria that is taken into account when it comes to applying for a school place in Reception.
