Hello all! We hope you are well and had a wonderful week. We will be continuing our home learning schedule over the next few weeks.

As with last term, we will upload a weekly plan, outlining the following daily tasks:

- Phonics video

- Literacy activity (Pop's challenge)

- Puzzle activity (Puzzle's challenge)

- Creative activities (a bank of activities for you to choose from throughout the week)

- A well-being activity

- Guided handwriting video
- Shared reading videos

Please remember, routine is important.

In order to help keep this going whilst learning from home, below is a suggested timetable, similar to the timings we normally follow in school.

Feel free to use this to help plan your day (if it helps) but there is no pressure to follow these timings. Your child may need more breaks or be better starting work earlier/finishing earlier.

I understand that many of you will also have to schedule home learning around your own jobs and how tricky this must be, so again, if you don’t manage to complete all of the activities every day, please don’t worry.

Keeping in touch

In order for us to keep track of the children's learning, as well as celebrating their achievements, each week we ask that you keep in touch via email and send photo's of the children's work or photo's of what they have been up to to me at

We will continue our Friday whole class Zoom calls - please join when you can!

Best wishes,

Mrs Sudborough, Mrs Wallace & Miss Fletcher

Welcome to FS

Welcome back!

We hope that you had a restful break and are feeling ready for our second half term in FS!

This half term we will be thinking about different celebrations such as Bonfire night, Diwali and Christmas.

We will be continuing our number work with Puzzle and be introduced to Pop, who is going to help us with our letters and writing!

I look forward to discussing how your child has settled in during our parents evening which will take place over the phone during the week beginning 16th November.

As ever, if you have any questions or concers feel free to email me.

Take care,

Mrs Sudborough, Mrs Wallace & Miss Fletcher

We have been continuing to explore all things Autumn this week.

Thank you for bringing in all of the things you have found whilst you've been out and about!

We have pumpkins, acorns, pine cones, conkers and so many beautifully coloured leaves in our classroom!

Over half term, you might want to continue to collect some signs of autumn and create some natural artwork.

You could create your own Leaf Man, create patterns with conkers, or anything else you can think of to do with your autumn treasures!

The sounds we have learnt this week are;

r                       h                         b

How many things can you find that start with these sounds?

Puzzle has been introducing us to more numbers!

Puzzle's favourite number this week is the number 6!

He brought us a gift in his special bag, it was a dice!

We looked at all of the dice patterns and did a super job at 'subitising' - recognising the number shown without counting the spots!

We have watched the numberblocks Series 2 episodes 1, all about the number 6 and dice faces!

Pop's challenge!

Pop loves going on adventures and likes us to help him write about them.

He helps us to use our phonics to sound out words in his pictures.

We practised sounding out and writing the word Pop.

This week Pop challenged us to write a sentence!

We did some super sounding out and tried to write the sentence

'Pop is on a map.'
