Sound of the Week

Letter Sound of the Week

Every Monday we introduce a new letter sound of the week. We play games using objects that begin with the sound and think of our own words that begin with the same sound. Please help your child to find something that begins with our letter sound of the week and bring it in to share with us in nursery where we can proudly display it on our sound table. We refer to the letters using ‘ Pure sounds’ rather than their letter names and teach the children rhymes and actions to go with the letter sounds.

Can you bring something into nursery that starts with a s sound to show your teachers and friends? We can put it on the sound table for the week. We will send it home on Friday.
